Interested in donating to the Pararoos then here's all the information you need.
The Pararoos, the Australian Paralympic Football team, are our national football team for athletes with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury or symptoms resulting from stroke.
Government funding for the team was withdrawn in 2014. Without this funding the Pararoos are unable to host training camps, participate in tournaments or compete in the Paralympic Games.
The Pararoos have managed to enter into the 2015 CPIRSA World Championships. This is a major step in the calendar to get the team to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. However, in order to qualify for Rio and create a long term and expanded program, the Pararoos need to commit to a significant program including national camps, youth development pathways, coaching and administration and quality sports science.
By donating to the Pararoos, you can help ensure their ongoing survival, and help many more aspiring disabled footballers across Australia continue to strive for their dream.
Donate today and let’s get behind the Pararoos. #GoPararoos
