World Champs edging closer for Pararoos

It is crunch time for players pushing to be part of the Pararoos squad for the upcoming World Championships with this weekend’s training camp D-day before the squad is announced.

A squad of 17 players has come into camp at Valentine Sports Park in Football NSW headquarters, with the squad to be narrowed to a final list of 14 which will be selected by Head Coach Kai Lammert after the weekend.

Since March, Lammert, his coaching staff and the Pararoos have been gradually building up to September’s Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF) World Championships in Argentina, and the countdown is now well and truly on.

The final squad will gather for a pre-departure camp at Valentine Sports Park from 2-6 September, with the team departing for Argentina on Wednesday 6 September.
